We are a family-run education company led by experienced UK teachers, dedicated to sparking curiosity through engaging after-school science clubs and specialist Alternative Provision tutoring.
Super Scientists after-school clubs
Super Scientists was founded by Kerry in 2017 with a simple idea: to make science exciting, practical and accessible for children.
What began as a passion for hands-on science has grown into a family-run business delivering after-school science clubs to children across Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland in the UK.
Our clubs put practical science at the heart of learning. Children get to experiment, investigate and discover for themselves while developing their curiosity, confidence and STEM skills.
Each weekly club session lasts one hour, with programmes typically running for six or seven weeks. At the end, every child receives a Super Scientists certificate celebrating their scientific journey.

Esgate Education
Our sister company, Esgate Education, provides personalised tutoring and education across Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland.
Our team of five tutors includes qualified teachers, a trainee teacher and experienced education professionals, all working directly with learners. We support English, Maths, Science and a wide range of other subjects, from primary level through to GCSE and A level, as well as Functional Skills and individually tailored learning programmes. We are also approved to deliver NCFE qualifications.
Set in a calm, welcoming environment with purpose-built learning spaces, Esgate Education offers a more personalised alternative to the traditional classroom. We work with local authorities, schools, academies and families to support learners with a wide range of educational needs.
We also offer specialist ADHD coaching.

Kerry Esgate-Green
Founder & Lead Teacher
Kerry has over 25 years of teaching experience and is a qualified SENCO. She founded Super Scientists in 2017 and leads the after-school clubs, making science accessible and engaging for all learners, including those with special educational needs.
Chris Esgate-Green
Science & Maths Teacher
Chris joined Esgate Education after a career in laboratory science. He now teaches maths, physics and chemistry, using his scientific background to make complex ideas easier to understand and helping young people build confidence and work towards qualifications.
Stephen Esgate-Green
Teacher & Game Mentor
Stephen is a qualified teacher specialising in Maths, Science and Computer Science. He teaches GCSE and A-Level learners and also provides game mentoring, helping young people build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills and improve their engagement with learning.
Jess Purse
English Tutor
Jessica has four years of tutoring experience and a degree in English with Creative Writing. She has also completed her Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training. She tutors English, History and Art, helping learners build confidence through supportive, individualised teaching.
James Esgate-Green
Tutor & ADHD Coach
James tutors English, Maths and Science, with a focus on supporting learners with SEND and those who find mainstream education challenging. His ADHD coaching and SEND training help him tailor sessions to each learner, building confidence, independence and engagement.

Therapy Dogs
Our gentle four-legged team members help create a calm, welcoming atmosphere at Esgate Education. Libby and Merlin are always ready for a quiet hello, a reassuring presence, or a well-earned cuddle.
